What is Widgets and Burritos?
Widgets and Burritos is a blog started by David Stinemetze with an emphasis on programming, web design, social media, privacy and marketing.
Why the name?
I actually came up with the name while working on the content of the first actual blog post, which I was originally intending to be used on my former employer’s blog. I needed a fake email address to discuss “spam” issues with and just randomly thought of “WidgetsAndBurritos.com”. I decided that would be an awesome blog name, so I registered the domain name.
Quick Bio
When a man and a woman love each other, this some how attracts birds and bees. I don’t really know exactly how it works, but sure enough this is how I came about. I was born February 25, 1984. I’ve lived in San Antonio, TX my whole life.
Education
I graduated from James Madison High School and went on to get my B.S. in Computer Science from UTSA in May of 2006. I am currently enrolled in UTSA’s Graduate Computer Science program.
Professional Credentials
I worked for theSan Antonio Web Design company, Internet Direct as a full-time web developer from 2005 until 2011. In 2011 I began doing web development independently as a contractor. I am also a member of the San Antonio Social Media Club and BMPR (Business Media Public Relations).
